Splitting a Bill? Send the Exact Items, Not Just a Number
After scanning a receipt, you can select the specific items someone else should pay for and send them as a shareable image, either at full price or at a chosen percentage. The recipient sees exactly which items and how much, not a rounded number.
Splitting a shared grocery run or a group dinner usually turns into rough math: someone estimates a number, everyone nods, and it’s rarely exact. RCT skips the estimate by working from the actual scanned items.
Once a receipt is scanned, select the items that belong to someone else, the shared bottle of wine, their half of the cheese board, whatever it is. RCT builds an image showing just those items and their prices and hands it straight to Messages or whatever app you want to send it through, with a line like “sending you your parts.”
Full price or a split
Not every shared item is a clean 50/50. If you only want to pass along part of the cost, a slider lets you set the percentage before sending, and RCT reduces the price on each selected item to match. Choose “reduce price” if you’re keeping part of the item for yourself, or send the full price if someone’s covering the whole thing.
Your own budget stays accurate either way
The point isn’t just convenience for the other person. If you paid for the whole receipt but only part of it was actually yours, leaving the shared items untouched would inflate your own spending in categories that aren’t really about you. Reducing the price on the items you shared keeps your reports honest, not just easier to explain to a friend.
