RCT vs Goodbudget

Goodbudget uses a digital envelope system: each transaction is assigned to one envelope, as a whole. RCT scans the receipt line by line instead, so a single purchase can be split automatically across multiple categories rather than logged as one envelope entry.

Both RCT and Goodbudget aim to make everyday spending visible, but they split a purchase up very differently.
